The final update on V Sunday eve came as a gorgeous double rainbow broke through. The last update I got on C sun eve was that she was doing so well the doctors were going to move her from critical ICU (same unit that V was in just different wing) to a regular room. I asked him to please pass on my love and told him we were all praying and to please keep me posted. Next call told me that the clots were gone and that her coloring was so much better and she was conscious. They had put in a filter, put her on meds to dissolve the clots and he would be in touch to keep me posted. life partner who told me that C had been flighted to Riverside (same hospital that V was at) and that they had discovered massive amounts of blood clots in her lung. I got a call the next day from her 17 yr. Now for a confession.I did not go to the ER that night. Another one of our coworker's was in the ER here at our local hospital! I talked to her mom and was told they didn't know what was going on but the doctor had ordered tons of tests and they were waiting on the results. We rested a bit.got a bite to eat for supper and then the next call came. Finally closed down the sale and headed in to the house. Kept getting updates that V was holding on and we continued to pray. Still felt good to get rid of a lot of stuff. Whew.busy day of rummagers.sold a lot but had priced it all so cheap we didn't make that much. Got the garage sale going and got the news that V had made it through the night and was stable. She is a wife and mother to 4 kids! So I got a hold of everyone I could to pray. I finally got a call from her hubby Friday eve to find out that she had had a stroke and the doctors were not sure she would pull through. Since it was not clear enough weather for flighting her to Columbus she was taken down to Riverside by ambulance. Finally talked to one of her sister's to find out that after taking a walk around her unit, she called the nurses station to tell them she had a horrible headache and when they got to her room they discovered she had vomitted and was unconscious. Then I rec'd a call at work that something had happened with our coworker so I frantically tried to get in touch with a family member.

Friday rolled around.busy at ying to finish setting up for the garage sale on Saturday. So we rejoiced in that news and worked on. afternoon telling us that surgery had gone well, it was more 'complicated' than the doc thought it would be but she had come through it great. I won't say 'simple surgery' but one that is done on a regular basis. We were gearing up at work to have one of our coworker's off starting Sept. Watch out cause here it comes.proof that life can change with one heartbeat. I know I have stated in the past but will do it again.after the death of a child.there is no more normal. We were also working on Phase I of the garage sale and believe it or not life was flowing along in a somewhat 'normal' way. It didn't seem like it was too long before we were starting the gathering of 'dorm items' and aiming towards move in on Sunday, Sept. We did get through 2nd day of registration.a busy day but successful. And it all comes down to this 'Who or what do you live for every day?' Cause in the end that's all that's gonna matter. It is so hard to believe what has transpired in the past month and two weeks.my mind has been a whirling dirvish again. Last time I blogged (August 12th) we had just registered Katy at OSU and I had told you about the 1st day.
